Each month we like to spotlight a winery that offers a unique experience for the Sonoma wine country visitor. This month we' like to spotlight a winery with a celebrity pedigree where owner Bruce Cohn has been the manger for the famous Doobie Brother's band since the band's inception in 1969. When you visit:

In the heart of Sonoma Valley, just one hour north of San Francisco. The current tasting room and office suites were an expansion on the original house on the property which was Bruce Cohn’s former home. The house was used as a stagecoach stop for Wells Fargo, where horses on their route from Santa Rosa to Sonoma stopped to be watered. The source of Olive Hill Estate’s water is an artesian well that comes from the underground aquifer. In transforming the home into a tasting center, Bruce wanted to preserve the style of the late 1920’s architecture.
Founded by Bruce Cohn in 1984, B.R. Cohn Winery is located in the heart of Sonoma Valley. Bruce Cohn bought the land now known as Olive Hill Estate Vineyards in 1974. The small family operated winery is surrounded by the 90-acre Olive Hill Estate Vineyards, where soils warmed by underground natural hot springs and gentle ocean breezes create a unique micro climate resulting in ideal growing conditions for ultra-premium Cabernet Sauvignon. B.R. Cohn also produces Merlot, Pinot Noir, SyrCab (a unique blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon), Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Cabernet Port, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. These award-winning wines have placed B.R. Cohn among the leaders of great California wine producers.
Don't miss viewing the musical history by perusing the bounty of platinum records on display. The amphitheatre out back is put to great use during the summer months with a variety of start performers and great musical guests.
